S. Vibin Kumar is found to be having deep passion to create awareness on the importance of quality inspection requirements which are useful in various industrial sectors. He attempted an online education platform by evolving the science and engineering of NDT and became the founder and president of Online NDT Studies.
He is a person interested in initiating, promoting and exchanging thoughts and experience he has, among the young by addressing them on the importance of education, skills training programs, encouragement, counselling and needful moral and financial support.
He has more than 18 years of rich industrial experience in construction, erection/ installation, commissioning, production, fabrication and start-up projects for various facilities in the Oil & Gas Sector (onshore/offshore). He served in 12 countries as an NDT Engineer, QA/QC Inspector, Company / Sr. NDT Level III, Sr. QA/QC Consultant / Manager, Client Representative, Lead Auditor and Technical expert.
He holds a Master’s degree in physics and an alumnus of NIT/REC Trichy, India and possesses another master’s degree exclusively in the field of NDT (Non Destructive Testing) and is certified in ASNT NDT level III (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT & ET), ISO 9712 NDT Level III (UT, PAUT, TOFD, RT, MT, PT, VT & ET) certifications. He also has certification in welding, coating/painting, bolting, safety and lead auditor courses.
He has sound knowledge in various conventional and advanced NDT techniques, NDT personnel training and qualification as per ISO 9712 & SNT-TC-1A requirements, Internal auditing as per ISO 9001 and QC/QA project documentation.
